To promulgate the Regulation on management and use of uniforms in the Customs sector of Vietnam

Recently, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam issued Decision 1062/QD-TCHQ on Regulations on management and use of uniforms in the Customs sector.

According to the Decision, the Ministry of Finance of Vietnam stipulates the time to wear uniforms in the customs sector as follows:

  • Spring-summer style outfits: from April to the end of October every year;

  •  

    Autumn - winter style outfits: from November of the previous year to the end of March of the following year.

Based on the temperature of the working environment and weather at each unit, the head of the unit shall uniformly adjust the time to use spring-summer and autumn-winter outfits according to the above regulations in Vietnam: If the weather or working environment temperature is below 20°C, civil servants, public employees, and workers shall wear autumn-winter style clothes; if the temperature is 20°C or higher, they shall wear spring-summer style clothes; but when participating in concentrated activities, they must wear the clothes decided by the head of the unit.

When going on business trips or attending industry conferences at the General Department or at the local customs office, civil servants, public employees and employees must wear uniforms according to the provisions of the work program, conference, or the unit to work. (In the case of the agenda, the conference does not have a separate regulation).
