To promulgate National Technical Regulations on national topographic maps at scales of 1:500,000, 1:1,000,000 in Vietnam

Issued together with Circular 17/2023/TT-BTNMT National technical regulations on national topographic maps at scale 1:500,000, 1:1,000,000, code QCVN 75:2023/BTNMT.

QCVN 75:2023/BTNMT provides technical regulations on the content, symbols, and metadata of national topographic maps at scales of 1:500,000 to 1:1,000,000.

QCVN 75:2023/BTNMT applies to management agencies, organizations, and individuals related to the establishment, storage, management, provision, and use of national topographic maps at a scale of 1:500,000 to 1:1,000,000.

At the same time, QCVN 75:2023/BTNMT also stipulates that the accuracy of national topographic maps at scales of 1:500,000 and 1:1,000,000 has a square error in the plane of the geographical objects shown. on the national topographic map according to the established map scale that must not exceed 0.5 mm on the map.

Effectiveness of QCVN 75:2023/BTNMT on national topographic maps at scales of 1:500,000, 1:1,000,000

- Circular 17/2023/TT-BTNMT takes effect on May 1, 2024.

- Regulations for topographic maps at scales of 1:250,000, 1:500,000, and 1:1,000,000 in Decision 11/2006/QĐ-BTNMT dated August 22, 2006 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on promulgating topographic map symbols at scales of 1:250,000, 1:500,000, and 1:1,000,000 will expire on May 1, 2024.

- Regulations for topographic maps at scales 1:500,000 and 1:1,000,000 in Decision 09/2006/QĐ-BTNMT dated August 16, 2006 of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment promulgating the Regulations on the establishment and printing of topographic maps at scales of 1:250,000, 1:500,000, and 1:1,000,000, which will expire on May 1, 2024.
