To promote social security payments through bank accounts and e-wallets in Vietnam

According to Directive 21/CT-TTg, the Prime Minister of Vietnam requested the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam to assume the primary responsibility for, and coordinate with, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, and relevant agencies:

Promote the implementation of payments via accounts (including bank accounts, e-wallets, mobile money accounts, and other legal forms) for beneficiaries of social security policies and make payments cashless for beneficiaries of social security policies right in 2022.

At the same time, build and complete the database on the beneficiaries of social security policies; connect and share social security data with the National Database on Population according to the progress of the project on developing the application of population data, identification, and electronic authentication for the national digital transformation period of 2022–2025 and the 2030 vision under Project 06.

The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam shall assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and other ministries, sectors, and mass organizations in directing the Project 06 implementation working group at commune and district levels to review and make a list by group of objects; check and verify the list of objects with the National Database on Population, striving to complete it in the first quarter of 2023.
