To develop the Southeast region of Vietnam into a service center in Southeast Asia

Resolution 154/NQ-CP on November 23, 2022 of the Government of Vietnam promulgating the Action Program to implement the Resolution 24-NQ/TW by 2022 on socio-economic development and assurance of national defense and security in the Southeast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

According to Vietnam's Resolution 154/NQ-CP, the Government of Vietnam requires rapid and sustainable development to create a breakthrough and spread in regional and inter-regional economic development with the following contents:

- To develop the region into a service center for Southeast Asia in terms of finance, trade, tourism, and international exchange.

- To prioritize the development of a number of spearhead industries, new technologies, high technologies, and digital technologies: electronics, telecommunications, the robot manufacturing industry, the software manufacturing industry, digital products, etc.

- To strongly and synchronously develop national and international logistics systems associated with seaports, airports, international border gates, key economic corridors, and inter-regional trade routes.

- To speed up the restructuring of the regional economy towards modernity, taking science - technology, innovation, digital transformation, digital economy, sharing economy, green economy, and circular economy as the focus. .

- To strongly develop the marine economy, seaport logistics services, maritime safety assurance services, oil and gas extraction and processing industries, supporting industries, and services for the oil and gas industry and marine tourism.

Vietnam's Resolution 154/NQ-CP takes effect from November 23, 2022.
