The tasks for deploying international fiber optic cable lines according to the roadmap by 2027 are as follows:
- Deploy and activate 4 new undersea fiber optic cables, increasing the total capacity to at least 134 Tbps.
- Continue to maintain Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan as the main Digital Hubs.
- Periodically review and assess the Digital Hubs to devise plans for maintaining/relocating/adding appropriate connection points according to each period.
- Complete and put into use at least one undersea fiber optic cable owned by Vietnam.
- Deploy and put into use at least one international land-based fiber optic cable.

- Deploy and activate a minimum of 10 new undersea fiber optic cable lines with modern technology, increasing the total number of undersea fiber optic cable lines for Vietnam to at least 15 lines with a minimum capacity of 350 Tbps.
- Deploy and activate at least 2 undersea fiber optic cable lines owned by Vietnam, connecting directly to regional Digital Hubs.
- Vietnam's undersea fiber optic cable system is to be deployed harmoniously in all technically feasible directions: connecting to the East Sea towards the North; connecting to the East Sea towards the South; connecting to the southern sea areas.
- Deploy and put into use at least 2 additional international land-based fiber optic cables, ensuring the total capacity of international land-based fiber optic cables reaches at least 15% of the actual usage capacity of the undersea fiber optic cable system.
