Effectively organize comments on textbooks according to the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training. Advise the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to maximize the professional autonomy of teachers and educational institutions in organizing the selection of textbooks according to regulations in Circular 25/2020/TT-BGDDT.

Coordinate with publishers to train teachers to use textbooks, provide textbooks to students fully and promptly before the start of the new school year 2023-2024, and prepare for the next school year, ensuring timeliness, quality, and compliance with regulations.

General tasks for the school year 2023-2024 in Vietnam

Specifically, the general tasks for the 2023-2024 school year are as follows:

- Implement the General Education Program 2018 for grades 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11; implement the general education program 2006 for grades 9 and 12, ensuring implementation and completion of the school year program; and consolidate and improve the quality of secondary education.

- Continue to carry out the planning and development of the network of schools, classes, teachers, and teaching facilities and equipment to ensure the implementation requirements of the Education and Training Program 2018; improve the quality of universal secondary education; effectively implement vocational education; and stream students after middle school and high school.

- Promote digital transformation and innovate educational management mechanisms; implement democratic school governance, discipline, order, quality, and educational effectiveness in secondary education establishments.

- Strengthen innovation in teaching methods and testing and evaluation in the direction of developing student capacity; diversify forms of education; promote experiential activities and scientific research among students; Deploying digital technology applications in teaching and learning.

- Focus on developing a team of teachers and educational administrators to meet the requirements of implementing the Education and Training Program 2018; focus on improving the professional capacity of teachers, ensuring enough teachers by subject to organize the teaching of subjects in the Program.

- Strengthen education on ethics, lifestyle, and life skills; ensure school safety; Proactively and flexibly implement school year plans; proactively prevent, combat, and respond effectively to natural disasters and epidemics.
