The National Assembly of Vietnam approve Vietnam's Resolution 74/2022/QH15 on November 15, 2022, promoting the implementation of policies and laws on thrift practice and waste prevention.
Thus, the National Assembly of Vietnam assigned the Government and the Prime Minister of Vietnam to direct ministries, branches, and localities to strictly perform a number of tasks in 2023, for example:
- Complete the review, statistics, and synthesis of information and data related to the implementation of thrift practices and waste prevention policies and laws from 2016 to 2021;
To clearly report the results of reviewing and detecting violations, losses, and waste in each concerned ministry, branch, locality, organization, or agency;
- Clarify the responsibilities of organizations and individuals, especially the accountability of the head for the occurrence of violations, losses, and waste for:
+ State-funded projects incur losses and waste.
+ Land used for illegal purposes, abandoned, or in violation of the law;
+ 79,670 hectares of land that agricultural and forestry firms have decided to recover but do not intend to use;
+ 305,043 hectares of land owned by agricultural and forestry companies that have not yet made a decision to recover and have no land use plan.
+ Other shortcomings and limitations mentioned in the Monitoring Team's Report 330/BC-DGS 2022;
