To approve the content of the master plan for the development of the airport system in Vietnam

The Standing Government agrees to the proposal of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam on the master plan for the development of the national airport system for the period of 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, and approves the content of the Master Plan, which noted:

- The planning contents must satisfy the requirements of socio-economic development, security, and defense in each planning period; potential airports in the localities can be invested in and built when they are eligible, there is a need, and especially lawful capital sources are mobilized for implementation;

Specialized airfields of the armed forces will also be considered for dual use for both economic development and security and defense assurance.

- The draft approval decision should have a list of potential airports as a basis for deployment as soon as the need arises and satisfy the prescribed conditions; study and supplement provisions for removing airports and aerodromes from the planning when they cannot be deployed and adding airports and aerodromes when there is a need and conditions for immediate implementation.

- Agree to consider and add Gia Binh airport by the Ministry of Public Security (the Prime Minister of Vietnam approved the policy of supplementing land use planning and plans for security purposes in Bac Ninh province in Official Dispatch 489/TTg-NN dated June 4, 2022) to the list of potential airports and approve the official supplementary plan when eligible and competent for immediate implementation.
