To annul certain regulations in the Hospital Regulations attached to Decision 1895/1997/QD-BYT in Vietnam

Currently, many regulations in the Hospital Regulations issued in 1997 (according to Decision 1895/1997/QD-BYT) have been replaced by Circulars, Decrees, and several articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment 2023. Therefore, the Minister of Health of Vietnam issued Circular 18/2024/TT-BYT repealing certain provisions in the Hospital Regulations, specifically the repealed contents include:

* PART III. HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT REGULATIONS:

- Section 5. Regulations on the Storage of Medical Records

- Section 8. Regulations on the Rights and Obligations of Patients and Their Families towards the Hospital

- Section 11. Regulations on Medical Attire

- Section 16. Regulations on Study and Teaching at the Hospital

- Section 17. Regulations on Scientific and Technological Research Work

- Points 3 and 4 Part II Section 18. Regulations on International Cooperation Work

* PART IV. PROFESSIONAL REGULATIONS:

- Section 3. Regulations on Disease Diagnosis, Medical Record Preparation, and Prescription

- Section 5. Regulations on Outpatient Treatment

- Section 6. Regulations on Medical Examination and Treatment upon Request

- Section 7. Regulations on Consultations

- Section 12. Regulations on Waste Treatment Work

- Section 13. Regulations for Patients without Receivers

- Section 14. Regulations on Handling of Deceased Patients

* PART V. REGULATIONS ON THE WORKS OF CERTAIN DEPARTMENTS: Point 2 Part I Section 1. Regulations on the Work of the Medical Examination Department

The Chief of Office, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Director of the Legal Department, Chief Inspector, Directors and Heads of Departments and Units under the Ministry of Health of Vietnam, Directors of the Department of Health of provinces and centrally-managed cities, Heads of health agencies of ministries and central authorities, and relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals are responsible for implementing Circular 18/2024/TT-BYT.
