To analyze pest risk for 6 objects subject to plant quarantine before importation

Below is the important content specified in Circular 15/2020/TT-BNNPTNT on Vietnam national technical regulations on requirements for objects subject to imported plant quarantine.

According to Section 1.4.7 of the National Technical Regulation on Requirements for Objects Subject to Imported Plant Quarantine, promulgated together with Vietnam's Circular 15/2020/TT-BNNPTNT, stipulating 6 objects subject to import quarantine. The plant quarantine must analyze the pest risk before importing it into Vietnam.

Plants and living parts of plants
Fresh tubers and fruits
Grass and grass seeds
Beneficial organisms used in the field of plant protection:
Imported plants found in Vietnam are subject to plant quarantine.
Other plant quarantine subjects with a high risk of carrying plant quarantine objects must be determined and reported to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam for decision.

The analysis and assessment of harmful organisms on the objects subject to plant quarantine shall be carried out at the conformity assessment organizations on plant quarantine that have been registered in the field of operation according to the provisions of Vietnam's Decree 107/2016/ND-CP and Decree 154/2018/ND-CP.
