The Trial Must Have at Least 2 Officers and Soldiers Participating in Protection

On March 10, 2016, the Minister of Public Security issued Circular No. 13/2016/TT-BCA stipulating the duties of the People's Public Security forces in the protection of court sessions.

Based on the characteristics and nature of the case, the place of trial, and the number of participants, the security force for the trial must be appropriately arranged. Accordingly:

- Each trial shall assign at least 02 officers and soldiers or more to carry out the security duties.

- For trials involving complex cases, crimes against national security, and itinerant trials, the force may be strengthened, additional equipment may be provided, and cooperation with local authorities where the trial is held, as well as the armed forces stationed in the area, may be sought to protect the trial.

Based on the overall approved plan, the assigned units shall develop specific plans and methods to execute and ensure the completion of the assigned tasks.

Additionally, Circular 13 also stipulates procedures to handle incidents such as fires and explosions, breaches of order, as well as the coordination between various forces to protect the trial.
