The program of combining military and civilian medicine to take care of people's health in Vietnam until 2030

The Prime Minister hereby issues the Decision No. 545/QD-TTg dated April 29, 2022 approving the program for combination of civil healthcare services in Vietnam by 2030.

Accordingly, the objectives of the Program are to:

- Improve the quality of medical examination and treatment of military and civilian medical examination and treatment establishments; especially in remote, border and island areas in Vietnam.

- Strengthening the capacity of military and civilian medical forces to control and prevent epidemics.

- Improve the organization and capacity of the medical reserve mobilization force and the mobilization force for the Vietnamese health sector.

In addition, there are a number of tasks and solutions to implement the Program as follows:

- Improve the effectiveness of the combined operation of military and civil medicine;

- Consolidate and improve the capacity of medical examination and treatment and disease prevention and control at the grassroots medical level;

- Improve the operational capacity and quality of the military and medical forces in the defense area;

- Perfecting mechanisms and policies in the combined operation of military and civil medicine.

The Decision No. 545/QD-TTg comes into force from the day on which it is signed.
