The Prime Minister's direction regarding expediting the progress of the allocation and disbursement of public investment funds in Vietnam

In order to strive for the highest disbursement of public investment funds in 2024 (over 95% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister), the Prime Minister has requested Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, other central agencies, and Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to enhance their responsibilities, focus on directing, leading, and implementing more resolutely, synchronously, timely, and effectively the following key tasks and solutions:

Fully comprehend and strictly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, and raise awareness at all levels and sectors about the role and significance of public investment in socio-economic development.

Identify the disbursement of public investment as one of the most important political tasks that requires prioritized leadership, direction, and organization.

Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, other central agencies, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities are fully responsible before the Government and the Prime Minister for directing the synchronized and effective implementation of tasks and solutions stated in Resolution 01/NQ-CP dated January 5, 2024, regarding the main tasks and solutions for implementing the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimate for 2024.

Follow the resolutions of the regular Government meetings; the directives of the Government leaders in Decision 1603/QD-TTg dated December 11, 2023, on assigning the investment plan for the state budget source in 2024; Document 380/VPCP-KTTH dated January 17, 2024, on the allocation and disbursement of the mid-year state budget plan for 2024; and other related documents.
