The Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision No. 23/2021/QĐ-TTg on procedures for support according to Resolution 68

On July 07 2021, the Prime Minister of Vietnam issued Decision No. 23/2021/QĐ-TTg on implementation of certain policies to support employees and employers in difficulty due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to the Decision No. 23/2021/QĐ-TTg, application and procedures for employees and employers to receive support according to Resolution No. 68/NQ-CP are specified including:

- Reduction in insurance premiums for occupational accidents and diseases;

- Suspension of contributions to the retirement and survivorship fund;

- Support for employers to provide training, retraining, and skill enhancement for employees for job retention;

- Support for employees on suspension of employment contracts, unpaid leave;

- Support for furloughed employees;

- Support for workers subject to termination of employment contract but ineligible for unemployment benefit;

- Support for children and people treated for Covid-19 or under quarantine;

- Support for public employees engaged in art performance and employees being tour guides;

- Support for household businesses;

- Support for employers on loan policy to pay furloughed wages, wages for production recovery.

Procedures for support are all simplified and shortened the processing time. No later than 07-10 days after receiving the application, the competent agencies must implement support policies for people and businesses.

Decision No. 23/2021/QĐ-TTg takes effect from July 07, 2021.
