The Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam issued 06 new administrative procedures in the field of residence registration and management

On July 06 2021, the Ministry of Public Security issued Decision No. 5548/QĐ-BCA-C06 on the announcement of new promulgated, amended, supplemented and annulled administrative procedures in the fields of residence registration and immigration under the handling competence of the Ministry of Public Security.

According to the Decision No. 5548/QĐ-BCA-C06, 06 new administrative procedures in the field of residence registration and management including:

- Issuing written consent for permanent residence registration in Vietnam for overseas Vietnamese (central level);

- Issuing written consent for permanent residence registration in Vietnam for overseas Vietnamese (provincial level);

- Household separation;

- Adjustment of residence information in the Residency Database;

- Declaration of residence information for people who are not eligible for permanent residence registration or temporary residence registration;

- Confirmation of residency information.

Moreover, the Decision No. 5548/QĐ-BCA-C06 also annulled 20 administrative procedures in the field of residence registration and management, particularly:

Register for permanent residence;
Separation of household registration book;
Issuance and renewal of household registration books;...

Decision No. 5548/QĐ-BCA-C06 takes effect from July 06 2021.
