Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Resolution 134/NQ-CP promulgating the Government of Vietnam's Action Program to implement Conclusion 70-KL/TW dated March 09, 2020, of the Politburo on continuing the implementation of the 5th Central Resolution of the 9th Session on continuing the renewal, development, and improvement of the efficiency of the collective economy in Vietnam.
To implement the tasks and solutions assigned in Conclusion 70/KL/TW, the Government of Vietnam assigns ministries, central authorities, and local authorities to concretize and implement specific tasks. Specifically, the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam is tasked with drafting new laws or amending and supplementing the Cooperative Law of 2012 based on the results of a 10-year review of the implementation of the Cooperative Law.
In addition, the Ministry of Planning and Investment has other notable tasks, including:
- Developing, submitting to the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam for approval, and organizing the implementation of the project "Selecting, Perfecting, and Replicating the New Model Cooperative in Localities Nationwide for the Period 2021-2025";
- Developing, managing, operating, and effectively exploiting the National Database and Information System on Cooperatives;
- Establishing the Cooperative Development Support Center under the Cooperative Development Department;
- Developing and publishing the White Book on Cooperatives; organizing the annual Cooperative Economy Forum;
