The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs' guidelines for the implementation of the Action Month for Children in Vietnam in 2024

In accordance with the provisions of the Law on Children regarding the annual Action Month for Children and the implementation of Directive 28-CT/TW in 2023, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs guides the main activities of the Action Month for Children in 2024 with the theme "Taking practical actions, prioritizing resources for children" as follows:

- The Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs shall take the lead in coordinating the following activities:

(i) Launching ceremony for the Action Month for Children in 2024 (scheduled for the 4th week of May or on June 1, 2024).

(ii) Communication campaign for Action Month for Children.

(iii) National online conference on children's work.

- Provincial People's Committees direct and guide the Departments, central authorities, and district-level and commune-level People's Committees to implement the following tasks:

+ Develop detailed plans to organize and respond to activities during Action Month for Children in 2024 at the local level.

+ Based on local conditions, launch the Action Month for Children in 2024 from the end of May or on June 1, 2024.

Some specific activities include:

(i) Directing the construction and upgrading of facilities (schools, classrooms, boarding houses, libraries, playgrounds, etc.) for children, with each commune having one facility for children during the Action Month for Children.

(ii) Organizing communication activities to raise awareness and a sense of responsibility among agencies, organizations, businesses, party members, and union members in caring for children at the local level, encouraging everyone to take action for children in response to Action Month for Children.

(iii) Preparing content and conditions for participation in the national online conference on children's work.

The implementation period is from June 1 to June 30, 2024.
