The Ministry of Health of Vietnam: Guidance on receipt of people from Ho Chi Minh City to other localities

On July 07 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam issued Urgent Official Dispatch No. 5389/BYT-MT on receipt of people from Ho Chi Minh City to other localities.

According to the Official Dispatch No. 5389/BYT-MT, guiding People’s Committee of provinces and cities receiving people from Ho Chi Minh City as following:

- All people coming from Ho Chi Minh City (excluding those travelling through and not stopping in Ho Chi Minh City) and considered contacts of close contacts of confirmed cases must undergo home quarantine for 07 days from the date upon which they arrive at their destinations and self-monitor their health for the following 07 days. 

Concurrently, they must get tested on the first day, the third day and the sixth day while they undergo home quarantine.

- While self-monitoring their health, they must limit contact with other people and not participate in any mass gathering. If developing fever, cough, throat pain, breathing difficulty or loss of taste, they must notify the nearest healthcare facility to receive instructions promptly according to regulations.
