On March 8, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision 764/QD-BGDDT on the structure and format of papers for the High School Graduation Exam as of 2025.
Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training, together with Decision 764/QD-BGDDT, has issued the structure and format of the high school graduation exam as of 2025. The structure and format of the exam serve as the basis for constructing the exam question bank and setting the exam for the high school graduation exam as of 2025.
The structure of the high school graduation exam as of 2025 is regulated in the appendix attached to Decision 764/QD-BGDĐT as follows:
(1) Essay format:
- Subject: Literature;
- Exam time: 120 minutes.
- The exam consists of 2 parts (Reading comprehension and Writing).
(2) Multiple-choice format:
- The Mathematics paper has 22 questions divided into three parts: Part 1 with 12 questions, Part 2 with 4 questions, and Part 3 with 6 questions.
- The Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Geography papers have 28 questions divided into three parts: Part 1 with 18 questions, Part 2 with 4 questions, and Part 3 with 6 questions.
- The History, Economics and Law Education, and Technology papers have 28 questions divided into two parts: Part 1 with 24 questions, Part 2 with 4 questions.
- The Computer Science paper has 30 questions divided into 2 parts: Part 1 with 24 questions, Part 2 with 6 questions. Among the 6 questions in Part 2, there are: 2 questions for all candidates, 2 questions for candidates in the Computer Science orientation, and 2 questions for candidates in the Applied Informatics orientation.
- The Foreign Language paper has 40 questions, all of which belong to Part 1.
Note:
- Part I consists of multiple-choice questions with four options and candidates choose the correct answer.
- Part II consists of True/False questions. Each question has 4 statements, and candidates choose whether each statement is true or false.
- Part III consists of short-answer multiple-choice questions. Candidates fill in the corresponding boxes with their answers.
