The Ministry of Education and Training further delays the end of the school year and the schedule of the 2019-2020 High School Graduation Exam

The Ministry of Education and Training has recently issued Urgent Official Dispatch 803/BGDDT–GDTrH regarding the adjustment of the 2019-2020 academic year timeframe (second adjustment) to the Chairpersons of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities.

In response to the complex developments of Covid-19, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) continues to adjust the time frame plan for the 2019-2020 academic year as follows:

- The academic year will end before July 15, 2020;- The national high school examinations will take place from August 08 to August 11, 2020.

Based on the above-mentioned time frame plan, the Chairpersons of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities shall proactively decide the time for students to return to school, ensuring safety and suitability with the local epidemic control situation.

During the school closure period, it is requested that the Chairpersons of the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities direct the Departments of Education and Training to continue reviewing and streamlining teaching content according to the guidance of the MOET; implement online teaching methods and television teaching; organize review sessions and assess the recognition of learning outcomes via the internet and television when students return to school.
