The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism directs localities to carry out the management and organization of the festival in Vietnam in 2021

This is an important content mentioned in the Official Dispatch No. 4323/BVHTTDL-VHCS issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam on management and organization of festivals in 2021.

According to the Official Dispatch No. 4323/BVHTTDL-VHCS, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam requested the People's Committees of the provinces and central-affiliated cities to direct local agencies, departments and sectors to implement the following contents:

- Strictly implement the state management of festivals according to the provisions of Decree No. 110/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government on management and organization of festivals;

- Organize plans on traffic order and safety, fire and explosion prevention, security and order, food safety and hygiene for people and visitors;

- Review, statistics and classification of festivals: Traditional festivals, cultural festivals, industry festivals and festivals of foreign origin;

- In the event of an outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, the risk of infection in the community; based on the actual situation, strictly implement the measure of suspending the organization of the festival in accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of Decree No. 110/2018/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government;

Note: The People's Committees of the provinces and central-affiliated cities shall report the results to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam before January 20, 2021.
