THE GOVERNMENT OF VIETNAM PERMITS THE IMPORT OF PREFERENTIAL PRICED CONTRACEPTIVE IMPLANTS

In Resolution 16/NQ-CP of the regular meeting of the Government of Vietnam in February 2019, the Government of Vietnam decided on several important matters, notably the importation of contraceptive implants at preferential prices.

Accordingly:

- The Government of Vietnam agrees to permit the import of contraceptive implants at preferential prices to supply priority beneficiaries in the Health - Population Target Program;- The permissible import period extends until the preferential pricing program expires, as proposed by the Ministry of Health.

Also in Resolution 16, the Government of Vietnam agreed to adopt some contents such as:

- Resolution on exemption from fees for the right to exploit minerals and water resources;- Adjustment of the schedule for installing journey monitoring equipment on fishing vessels in the draft Decree detailing the Fisheries Law;- Permitting the Provincial People's Committee to use local budget reserves and other legitimate funding sources to support livestock owners whose pigs are infected, suspected of being infected with foot-and-mouth disease, blue ear disease, and African swine fever that must be destroyed.
