The form of small and medium enterprises in Vietnam participating in the production value chain

On May 10, 2022, the Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam issued Circular 06/2022/TT-BKHDT guiding Decree 80/2021/ND-CP detailing the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the forms of small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam participating in the production and processing value chain as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 24 of Decree 80/2021/ND-CP include:

- Small and medium-sized enterprises are leading enterprises in the chain established and operating under the provisions of Vietnamese law.

- Small and medium enterprises are performing contracts to buy and sell products and services or cooperate and associate contracts with leading enterprises in the chain.

- Small and medium enterprises are assessed by leading enterprises or agencies and organizations supporting small and medium enterprises as having the potential to become suppliers for leading enterprises.

Agencies and organizations support small and medium enterprises in choosing small and medium enterprises by:

- Using the toolkit to evaluate potential small and medium-sized enterprises announced by the Ministry of Planning and Investment at the portal; or

- Refer to the list of potential small and medium enterprises posted on the portal.

For details, see Circular 06/2022/TT-BKHDT effective from June 25, 2022 and replace Circular 05/2019/TT-BKHDT dated March 29, 2019, Circular 06/2019/TT- BKHDT dated March 29, 2019.
