On June 19, 2017, the Ministry of Finance issued Circular 62/2017/TT-BTC stipulating the fee rates for certifying eligibility for environmental protection in the importation of scrap materials for production purposes.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment issues Confirmation Certificates (initial issuance or re-issuance) to organizations and individuals directly using imported scrap materials as production raw materials with the following fees:

- Scrap iron, steel (total import volume < 5,000 tons/year): 32 million VND/dossier;- Scrap paper (total import volume < 200 tons/year): 28 million VND/dossier;- Scrap plastic (total import volume < 200 tons/year): 26 million VND/dossier;- Other scrap materials: 22 million VND/dossier.

In the case of re-issuing a valid Confirmation Certificate that is lost or damaged, no fee will be charged.

Refer to the Fee Schedule for Confirmation Certificates issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment at Circular 62/2017/TT-BTC, effective from August 5, 2017.
