On December 25, 2020, the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam issued the Circular No. 168/2020/TT-BQP regulating forms, colors of commonly used uniforms, field uniforms, professional uniforms and on-duty uniforms of the Vietnam Coast Guard.
According to the Circular No. 168/2020/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, the winter uniform of male officials and professional soldiers are as following:
- Shirt: Linen outerwear style with V lapels. Two buttonholes on each side of the collar, badges. Front body has four embossed pockets, button pocket flap, 18mm diameter top button, 22mm bottom pocket button. 22mm diameter four-button brooch. Posterior body with posterior slit below. Shoulders have branded shoulder straps. Long sleeve with the Coast Guard logo on the left;
- Pants: Long trousers, with two cross pockets and a plastic zipper. The front body of each side folds upside down towards the side. The back body has a 1 mm on each side, there are two rear pockets. The waistband has six prongs for threading the waistband.
Unlike winter, in the summer, the usual casual outfit will be a short-sleeved shirt with a stand-up collar. There are two buttons on each side of the collar and badges. The chest has two pockets, the flap is buttoned. A five-button packet and one collar button. Shoulders have branded shoulder straps. The left sleeve has the Coast Guard logo. The back body has two shoulder pads. 15mm diameter buttons.
