The contents of the annual foreign affairs plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam

On March 11, 2024, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam issued Decision 570/QĐ-BVHTTDL on the Regulations on Management of Foreign Affairs of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The contents of the annual foreign affairs plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam

The annual foreign affairs plan of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam includes:

(1) Annual plan for foreign affairs approved by the Prime Minister:

- Delegations going abroad or coming to Vietnam, with participation from the leadership of the Ministry or equivalent.

- International conferences and seminars organized by the Ministry that require permission from the Prime Minister.

- International cooperation programs, projects, and initiatives that require approval from the Prime Minister.

- Plans for implementing international agreements and treaties on behalf of the Government.

- National-level events with the participation of foreign partners, and international events in fields under the Ministry that require approval from the Prime Minister.

- Ad hoc foreign affairs as requested by authorized agencies.

(2) Annual plan for foreign affairs approved by the Minister:

- List of expected international cooperation documents to be signed.

- Plan for implementing international cooperation documents.

- Delegations going abroad or coming to Vietnam, and international conferences and seminars under the authority of the Minister.

- Other foreign affairs under the authority of the Minister.

(3) Based on the approved annual plan for foreign activities, the responsible unit develops the plan, organizes and implements the foreign affairs, and reports to the Ministry's leadership through the Department of International Cooperation.

More details can be found in Decision 570/QD-BVHTTDL taking effect on March 11, 2024, replacing Decision 2222/QD-BVHTTDL dated June 24, 2016.
