This is the notable content of Directive 02/2020/CT-CA on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic within the People's Court system, issued on March 10, 2020.
To be specific, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam requests that from now until the end of March 2020, the Courts focus on implementing the following requirements:
- Temporarily suspend the acceptance of petitions, requests, documents, evidence, and direct reception of citizens at the Court's headquarters;- Temporarily suspend the issuance, delivery, and notification of procedural documents and other documents and evidence to organizations and individuals by direct methods, and instead utilize other methods such as: through postal services, electronic means, etc.;- Temporarily suspend the opening of trials and meetings to resolve cases; temporarily suspend summoning litigants, organizations, and individuals to the Court for cases that are still within the statutory resolution period according to procedural law;- During the suspension of trials, Judges should focus on reviewing case files so that after the end of the epidemic, continuous trial schedules can be arranged;- ...
