Technical regulations for headlamp of qualified mopeds in Vietnam as of October 1, 2024

This Regulation applies to facilities manufacturing, importing headlamps, importing motorized road vehicles, organizations and individuals relevant to test and inspection for technical safety certification of road vehicle headlamps in Vietnam.

Technical regulations for headlamp of qualified mopeds in Vietnam as of October 1, 2024

Headlamps of qualified mopeds in Vietnam must meet requirements below in tests:

- Structural requirements

Structure of headlamps must meet requirements under Point 1 of any Appendix from Appendix A through Appendix L of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT.

- Optical characteristic requirements

+ Optical characteristics of headlamps must meet requirements under Point 2 of any Appendix from Appendix A through Appendix L of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT.

+ In respect of independent lamps under Point 1.3.3, optical characteristics of independent passing-beam headlamps must meet requirements under Point 2.2 of any Appendix from Appendix A through Appendix L of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT; optical characteristics of independent driving-beam headlamps must meet requirements under Point 2.3 of any Appendix from Appendix A through Appendix L of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT.

+ In respect of headlamps tested in accordance with Point 2 of any Appendix from Appendix A through Appendix L of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT (other than Appendix H class A) of this document must also be tested for stability of optical characteristics during operation in accordance with Appendix M of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT.

- Lighting color requirements

Lighting colors of headlamps must meet requirements under Point 3 of any Appendix from Appendix A through Appendix L of QCVN 35:2024/BGTVT.

More details can be found in Circular 07/2024/TT-BGTVT, which comes into force from October 1, 2024 and replaces Circular 31/2017/TT-BGTVT dated September 22, 2017.
