Below is the content at Decision 658/QĐ-TTg dated June 8, 2023 on approving the Development Program of Vietnam's marine and island health until 2030.

Tasks of the Vietnam Marine and Island Health Development Program to 2030

The tasks of the Vietnam Marine and Island Health Development Program to 2030 include:

- Strengthen the leadership and direction of marine and island health work.

- Consolidate and strengthen preventive medicine capacity in coastal and island areas.

- Consolidate and strengthen the capacity of medical examination and treatment.

- Improve the capacity of first aid and patient transport.

- Develop human resources for health care in coastal and island areas.

- Formulate specific norms and standards for marine and island health.

- Strengthen communication and health education for people in coastal and island areas.

Objectives of Vietnam's marine and island health development program to 2030

Objectives of the Vietnam Marine and Island Health Development Program to 2030:

- 70% of hospitals and medical centers in island districts are capable of implementing surgical techniques equivalent to those in grade 2 hospitals.

- 100% of disease control centers, health centers of districts, towns, and provincial cities, and military preventive medical facilities in coastal provinces shall be invested in and upgraded to ensure the performance of tasks in sea and island areas.

- 70% of surface ships belonging to the Navy, Coast Guard, and Border Guard are synchronously equipped with medical equipment for first aid and rescue at sea.

- 100% of offshore fishing vessels are equipped with medicine cabinets and medical equipment as prescribed.

- 100% of sea transport - oceangoing vessels fully complying with international regulations on marine health assurance.

- 100% of people in seas and islands are propagated, disseminated knowledge, trained in preventive health protection skills, self-first aid skills, and transport victims to sea and island emergency facilities. .
