System of statistical indicators for the natural resources and environment sector in Vietnam

- The system of statistical indicators for the natural resources and environment sector is a collection of statistical indicators in the fields within the scope of state management of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, serving statistical activities and general management work of the natural resources and environment sector.

- The system of statistical indicators for the natural resources and environment sector includes:

+ The list of statistical indicators for the natural resources and environment sector, including the serial number, code, group, and name of the indicators as stipulated in Appendix I of the Decree 22/2023/TT-BTNMT;

+ The content of statistical indicators for the natural resources and environment sector, including definitions, calculation methods, main classifications, reporting periods, data sources, and responsible units for data collection and aggregation as stipulated in Appendix II of the Decree 22/2023/TT-BTNMT.

Reporting regime for units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in Vietnam

- The content of the reporting regime includes: list of reporting forms, reporting forms, and explanations of reporting forms as stipulated in Sections I, II, and III of Appendix II of the Decree 22/2023/TT-BTNMT;

- Reporting unit: The reporting unit is the unit under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, specifically stated in the top right corner of each statistical form;

- Receiving unit: The receiving unit is the Planning and Finance Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, specifically stated in the top right corner of each statistical form, below the reporting unit line;

- Reporting period: The reporting period is the specific period in which the statistical report must reflect the results of activities in accordance with statistical criteria in the statistical form. The reporting period is recorded in the middle of each statistical form (after the report name). The reporting period is calculated based on the Gregorian calendar, including:

The 6-month statistical report is calculated from January 1st to June 30th.

The annual statistical report is calculated from January 1st to December 31st.

For inspection reports, the 6-month statistical report is calculated from December 16th of the previous year to June 15th of the reporting year; the annual statistical report is calculated from December 16th of the previous year to December 15th of the reporting year;

- Reporting deadline: The reporting deadline is specifically stated in the top left corner of each statistical form;

- Reporting method: Statistical reports are carried out on the information system for statistical information on the natural resources and environment sector (http://bctk.monre.gov.vn) and digitally signed with the digital signature of the head of the reporting unit;

- Symbol of the form: The symbol of the form consists of two parts: the number part and the letter part; the number part records the code of the statistical indicator; the letter part records BTNMT, indicating the statistical form system applied to units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and the reporting period (year: - N, month: - T).

Decree 22/2023/TT-BTNMT takes effect on January 30th, 2024, and replaces Decree 73/2017/TT-BTNMT dated December 29th, 2017, and Decree 20/2018/TT-BTNMT dated November 8th, 2018.
