Suspension of Toll Collection at BOT Stations if Automatic Non-stop Toll Collection is Not Implemented

This is a notable content in Directive 06/CT-TTg recently issued by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam regarding the acceleration of the implementation of toll collection for road use services by an electronic non-stop method.

The Prime Minister requires relevant Ministries and sectors to urgently implement the transition of road service fee collection to an automatic non-stop electronic format for all BOT stations nationwide and notes:

- Only one unified technology for automatic non-stop electronic road service fee collection shall be used nationwide;- Each vehicle participating in traffic shall use only one identification card (terminal card) to pass through all toll stations;- Toll collection activities shall be suspended if BOT projects do not comply with the roadmap for transitioning to automatic non-stop electronic road service fee collection.
