Suspension of Regulations on Electronic Procedures for Incoming and Outgoing Vessels

On May 28, 2018, the Government of Vietnam has just issued Decree 84/2018/ND-CP regarding the suspension of some provisions in Decree 58/2017/ND-CP detailing certain articles of the Vietnam Maritime Code.

Sections 82, 83, 84, 85, 86 of Decree 58/2017/ND-CP on the application of electronic procedures, electronic documents, and the use of digital signatures in electronic procedures for ships are suspended from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.

For electronic procedures for ships entering, exiting, transiting, entering, and leaving seaports and operating in Vietnamese maritime areas through the national single-window mechanism as stipulated in Decision 34/2016/QD-TTg, they will continue to be implemented until June 30, 2018.

Decree 84/2018/ND-CP is effective from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.
