Recently, the Ministry of Transport issued Official Dispatch 2915/BGTVT-VT regarding the continued implementation of Directive 15/CT-TTg dated March 27, 2020, by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.
Effective from 00:00 on March 30, 2020 until the end of April 15, 2020, Vietnamese airlines are only allowed to operate passenger transport with the following frequencies:
- Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City – Hanoi route: Each Vietnamese airline is allowed to operate 01 flight/day;- Hanoi – Da Nang/Phu Quoc – Hanoi routes: Each Vietnamese airline is allowed to operate 01 flight/day/route;- Ho Chi Minh City – Da Nang/Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City routes: Each Vietnamese airline is allowed to operate 01 flight/day/route.
Additionally, the Ministry of Transport also requires:
- Suspension of all flights on remaining domestic routes to/from Hanoi and to/from Ho Chi Minh City;- No restrictions on flights that do not transport passengers;- In special circumstances where there is a demand to transport passengers from local airports to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa, airlines should request approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam on a case-by-case basis for consideration and decision.
