On September 09, 2017, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam signed Decision 1331/QD-TTg approving the investment policy for the Project “Enhancing Childcare Development associated with the Innovation of the Health System in Vietnam” funded by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).
The non-refundable ODA fund supported by UNICEF is 5,119,595 USD. In which:
- Available funds: 1,902,754 USD, consisting of regular funds of 1,221,612 USD and mobilized funds of 681,142 USD.- Funds to be mobilized: 3,216,841 USD.
Counterpart funds contributed by Vietnam:
- In cash: 16,036,659,088 VND.- In-kind contribution: equivalent to 8,056,332,000 VND.
The project will be implemented in Hanoi and 3 key provinces (Dien Bien, Kon Tum, and Gia Lai) over a period of 05 years (2017-2021) with the objective of enhancing the capacity of the healthcare system in the field of maternal and child health, including services:
- Health care;- Nutritional care;- Environmental sanitation.
