Supplementing "metal money" in the concept of "cash"

This is the newly added content in Circular 33/2017/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance regulating policies on the management of cash, valuable papers, and precious assets in the State Treasury system.

From June 16, 2017, "metallic money" has been incorporated into the concept of "cash." Cash includes banknotes, metallic money issued by the State Bank of Vietnam, while foreign currency is transferred to the group of valuable assets.

According to regulations, 50 metallic coins of the same denomination are bundled into 01 bar, 20 bars are packed into 01 bag.

The cash inventory at the end of the day is carried out according to the following process:

- For bundles, bags, and packages that are still sealed, a direct inspection must be conducted;

For wads, sheets, and individual pieces, each sheet and piece must be counted. After counting, they must be bundled and sealed.- Some or all of the bundles may be opened for recounting if necessary.- Compare the actual inventory to the balance on the fund ledger and the accounting book.- After inventory, those involved must sign the fund ledger, the accounting book, and the inventory log.

Circular 33/2017/TT-BTC repeals Decision 61/2002/QD-BTC.
