The Ministry of Health has just issued Circular 31/2019/TT-BYT regulating the requirements for fresh milk products used in the School Milk Program.
Compared to Decision 5450/QD-BYT, Circular 31 has supplemented the requirements for fresh milk used in the School Milk Program. To be specific:
- Fresh milk products used in the School Milk Program must ensure they contain 21 essential micronutrients with quantities specified in Circular 31/2019/TT-BYT;- Raw materials for fresh milk products must comply with the National Technical Regulation on raw fresh milk issued with Circular 29/2017/TT-BNNPTNT;- Fresh milk products must be declared by manufacturing and trading establishments before circulation in the market, in accordance with Decree 15/2018/ND-CP;- The labeling of fresh milk products used in the School Milk Program must follow Decree 43/2017/ND-CP and Decision 1783/QD-BYT.
In addition, fresh milk used in the School Milk Program must still comply with QCVN 5-1:2010/BYT on liquid milk products.
