Strengthening the Prevention and Control of Covid-19 Using Traditional Medicine Drugs and Methods

Recently, the Ministry of Health issued Official Dispatch 1306/BYT-YDCT on strengthening the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by SARS-CoV-2 using medication and traditional medicine methods.

To proactively enhance measures for disease prevention and control, to prevent the acute respiratory disease caused by COVID-19, and to promote the strengths of traditional medicine in preventing and supporting the treatment of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health requests traditional medicine and herb businesses to:

- Ensure the quality of medicinal herbs and traditional medicine, and the supply sources for medical examination and treatment facilities in the province;- Not increase the prices of medicinal herbs and traditional medicines related to the measures to prevent and support the treatment of acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus as per the attached document.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health also guides the use of traditional medicine and traditional medical methods in preventing and supporting the treatment of acute respiratory disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus for units to use as a basis for application and communication in the community.
