Strengthening the joint venture in public healthcare facilities in Vietnam

This is the main content stipulated in Directive 22/CT-BYT of the Ministry of Health on strengthening the joint venture in public healthcare facilities in Vietnam, issued on October 01, 2020.

To enhance management practices, promote positive aspects, promptly identify, rectify existing issues, and strictly handle violations in joint ventures and affiliations involving medical equipment, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requests that local Departments and sectors execute the following:

- Review joint venture and affiliation proposals currently being implemented at their units in accordance with the aforementioned regulations, including proposals initiated before the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets 2017 came into effect;

- Comply with laws regarding the management of public assets during the process of constructing and submitting proposals for renting assets and using public assets for joint ventures and affiliations;- Adhere to legal regulations on pricing, paying attention to the following points:

-  Concerning  the  fee  rates:  ensure  costs  are  fully  compensated  and  reasonably  accumulated;
-  Publicly  list  the  catalog  and  prices  of  services;
-  Clearly  explain  to  patients  so  that  they  understand  and  agree  to  pay  the  difference  in  costs.
