Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Directive 08/CT-TTg on strengthening the work of preventing and combating domestic violence.
To strengthen the task of preventing and combating domestic violence in the upcoming period, the Prime Minister requires the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to undertake the following tasks:
- Proactively cooperate with media and press agencies to enhance the dissemination of policies and laws on preventing and combating domestic violence; criticize and condemn acts that violate these laws;- Organize training to improve the expertise and skills for officials involved in preventing and combating domestic violence at all levels;- Effectively organize and implement the national network on preventing and combating domestic violence; research the establishment of family work emulation clusters;- Preside and cooperate with relevant agencies to build a national database on families, including domestic violence prevention and control;- Summarize and evaluate the “National Action Program on Preventing and Combating Domestic Violence until 2020.”
