Recently, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam issued Directive 23/CT-TTg on strengthening measures to ensure the implementation of children's rights and child protection.
To enhance the assurance of the implementation of children's rights and interests, and to protect children, the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam directs the ministries and central authorities, and the People's Committees at all levels:
- Strictly implement the legal provisions regarding children, regularly review, propose, and complete policies and legislation concerning children;- Innovate propaganda work, prioritize the timing and duration of broadcasting programs related to policies, laws, and child protection with diverse and rich content and forms;- Heads of agencies, organizations, and local authorities must be held accountable when there is a situation of child death due to accidents and injuries, serious violations of children's rights, violence, sexual abuse, etc.;- Stringently handle agencies, organizations, individuals, including parents and caregivers, when they commit acts violating children's laws;- …
