Statistical reporting period of the planning and investment sector in Vietnam from April 1, 2025

The statistical reporting period is a specific timeframe during which reporting subjects are required to present their activity results in figures according to the statistical criteria in the statistical report forms. The reporting period is noted in the middle section of each statistical form (after the name of the report form). The statistical reporting period is calculated according to the calendar date and is specifically stipulated for each statistical report form, including:

- Monthly statistical reports.

- Quarterly statistical reports.

- Semi-annual statistical reports.

- Annual statistical reports.

- Ad-hoc reports: Statistical reporting in case of unexpected events or phenomena occurring or when there is a requirement to serve the operational management of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

- Other statistical reports: Statistical reports with reporting periods and deadlines specifically noted in each report form.

Methods of submitting statistical reports for the planning and investment sector in Vietnam from April 1, 2025

- Reports are submitted and received directly via the Planning and Investment Sector Statistical Information System, validated by accounts issued to representatives of the reporting and receiving agencies. Report forms will be compiled and printed directly from the system.

- In cases where the Planning and Investment Sector Statistical Information System is not operational or there are data transmission issues, reporting entities shall send reports to the email address thongke@mpi.gov.vn. Reports sent via email should be in one of two forms: a color scan of the paper version signed by the Head, stamped by the reporting agency, or an electronic file authenticated by the digital signature of the Head of the reporting agency;

- For content that must be managed according to the confidential policies of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board, and relevant agencies, reporting should be conducted in accordance with the legal provisions on the protection of state secrets, and sent to the Ministry of Planning and Investment following the reporting period specified in Circular 03/2025/TT-BKHDT.
