Standards for railroad registrant in Vietnam from June 01, 2024

(1) For railroad registrant:

• Possess a university degree or higher in fields or specializations relevant to the job position requirements;

• Have basic IT skills and the ability to use a foreign language as required for the job position;

• Complete a professional training course for railroad registrant;

• Have at least 12 months of internship in railway inspection. Those with at least 36 months of cumulative work experience related to the management, maintenance, repair, production, or assembly of railway vehicles (as supported by labor contracts and social insurance records) must have a minimum of 6 months of internship in railway inspection.

(2) For Senior railroad registrant:

• Have held the position of railway inspector for at least 5 years;

• Complete a professional training course for senior railroad registrant.

Duties of railroad registrant in Vietnam from June 01, 2024

(1) For railroad registrant:

• Participate in the appraisal of the system safety evaluation reports by certification organizations concerning vehicle-related contents, excluding signal systems installed on the vehicles;

• Inspect the technical safety and environmental protection quality of railway transportation devices and vehicles;

• Prepare inspection records for the aforementioned subjects;

• Calculate inspection fees and charges as stipulated by law;

• Guide internships for trainees who have completed the railway inspector training course;

• Participate in training and competency evaluation in professional skills for trainees and inspectors;

• Perform other duties as required.

(2) For Senior railroad registrant:

• Senior railroad registrant carry out the same duties as railroad registrant as stated in (1);

• Assist in analyzing and determining the causes of railway traffic accident incidents related to railway vehicles when required.
