Standards and conditions for rank promotion of Class II translator in Vietnam

To be considered for promotion to the professional title of Class II translator (code: V.11.03.08), the following standards and conditions must be met:

- Currently holding the professional title of Class III translator, Code: V.11.03.09.

- Have held the professional title of Class III translator (or equivalent) for at least 9 years (excluding probation and internship periods). In cases where the time held in a position equivalent to Class III translator is counted, there must be at least 1 year (12 months) of holding the professional title of Class III translator as of the closing date for submitting the promotion application dossier (if the time holding the professional title of Class III translator is not continuous, it can be accumulated);

- During the period of holding the professional title of Class III translator (or equivalent), have presided over or participated in the translation of at least one work that received an award at the ministerial, departmental, or provincial level, or an award organized by a central Communist Party agency, central socio-political organization, or the Vietnam Journalists Association; or participated in writing a specialized report in at least one subject, program of scientific research at the institutional level or higher, which the agency or unit managing or employing the public employee was assigned to preside over, build, and which has been issued or approved by a competent authority.

- During the period of holding the professional title of Class III translator (or equivalent), have been awarded a commendation or achieved the title of advanced emulation fighter at the ministerial, departmental, or provincial level, or achieved the title of advanced emulation fighter at least twice at the institutional level or higher for achievements in professional activities.
