Standard of facilities for medical quarantine at the border gate of Vietnam

On November 9, 2021, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam promulgated Circular 17/2021/TT-BYT guide the standards of essential facilities and equipment for medical quarantine activities at the border gate.

According to the Circular, stipulating standards of essential facilities and equipment for medical quarantine activities at road border gates, railway border gates, air border gates and waterway border gates.

For example, for a road border gate, the Ministry of Health of Vietnam requires the following material facilities:

- Meeting room: 1 room with an area of 50m2 (for international border gates) and 01 room with an area of 30m2 (for main/auxiliary border gates) to serve briefings, professional exchange, and work assignments daily and store records and equipment for medical quarantine activities at the border gate.

- Accommodation room for medical quarantine: 4 rooms with an area of 20m2 (for international border gates) and 02 rooms with an area of 15m2 (for main/sub-border gates) to serve medical quarantine stay at the border gate area while on duty.

- Chemical warehouse: 1 room with an area of 15m2 (for international border gates) and 01 room with an area of 15m2 (for main/auxiliary border gates) to store chemicals for medical treatment...
