On July 1, 2019, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 58/2019/ND-CP stipulating the level of allowances and preferential treatment for individuals who have contributed to the revolution.
The Decree 58 has significantly increased the allowance and subsidy levels for war invalids compared to the previous regulations in Decree 99/2018/ND-CP. Specifically, the new allowance and subsidy levels are as follows:
- War invalids, Category B war invalids with a labor capacity reduction of 81% or more receive a subsidy of 815,000 VND/month;- War invalids, Category B war invalids with a labor capacity reduction of 81% or more and severe injuries receive a subsidy of 1,670,000 VND/month;- Caregivers of war invalids, Category B war invalids in families:
- With a labor capacity reduction of 81% or more receive an allowance of 1,624,000 VND/month;- With a labor capacity reduction of 81% or more and severe injuries receive an allowance of 2,086,000 VND/month;- Survivors' benefits for relatives of war invalids, Category B war invalids with a labor capacity reduction of 61% or more who have deceased receive an allowance of 911,000 VND/month;- ...
