Accordingly, sharply increasing the fine for inn owners who collect electricity bills higher than the prescribed price, specifically:

A fine ranging from VND 20-30 million shall be imposed on the lessor who collects electricity from the tenant higher than the prescribed price in the case of purchasing electricity at the retail price to serve the purposes of daily life, production, business and service. service.

(Previously, the maximum fine for this behavior was 10-15 million VND)

At the same time, the lessor who earns illegal profits is also subject to the remedial measure of forced return of the illegal profits obtained from the commission of the violation (including all costs incurred due to the violation). violations) to refund the appropriated individuals or organizations.

Decree 17/2022/ND-CP takes effect from January 31, 2022.
