Circular 08/2023/TT-BKHDT on codes, professional and professional standards and salary rankings for statistical civil servant ranks in Vietnam issued by the Minister of Planning and Investment on October 2, 2023.

Salary ranking of civil servant ranks specializing in statistics in Vietnam

(1) For civil servant ranks specialized in statistics specified in this Circular, Table 2 (Professional salary schedule for officials and civil servants in state agencies) issued together with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP and amended and supplemented in Decree 17/2013/ND-CP:

- Senior Statistician rank (code 23,261) applies civil servant salary table type A3, group 1 (A3.1), from salary coefficient 6.20 to salary coefficient 8.00;

- Main Statistician rank (code 23,262) applies civil servant salary table type A2, group 1 (A2.1), from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78;

- Statistician rank (code 23,263) applies civil servant salary table type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98;

- Intermediate level statistician rank (code 23,264) applies civil servant salary table type A0, from salary coefficient 2.10 to salary coefficient 4.89;

- Statistical official class (code 23,265) applies the salary table for civil servants type B, from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06.

(2) The transfer of salaries for civil servants from currently held specialized civil servant ranks to specialized statistical civil servant ranks specified in Circular 08/2023/TT-BKHDT is carried out according to the instructions in Clause 2, Section II Circular 02/2007/TT-BNV.

(3) Civil servants holding the rank of college-level statistician and applying the A0 civil servant salary schedule from before the effective date of Circular 08/2023/TT-BKHDT, the competent authority will consider transferring and classifying the person to the rank of intermediate-level statistician (new).

(4) Civil servants holding the rank of intermediate statistician shall apply the civil servant salary schedule type B from before the effective date of this Circular. If they meet the standards and conditions of the (new) intermediate level statistician rank, the competent authority will consider transferring and classifying them to the (new) intermediate level statistician rank, applying the civil servant salary table type A0 from the effective date of Circular 08/2023/TT-BKHDT.

In cases where civil servants do not meet the standards and conditions of the rank of intermediate (new) statistician, the competent agency will consider transferring them to the rank of statistician.

Circular 08/2023/TT-BKHDT takes effect on November 15, 2023.
