According to Resolution 85/NQ-CP July 9, 2022 on Government-local online conference and the Government's regular meeting in June 2022, the Government requested to finalize the policy on salaries and allowances for Vietnamese medical staffs.
Specifically, the Government of Vietnam requests the Ministry of Health of Vietnam to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with ministries, agencies, and localities in, performing the following tasks:
- Review, research, and report to competent authorities on the adjustment and improvement of policies on salary, allowances, and other policies to ensure human resources for the health sector.
- Coordinate with Vietnam Social Security and relevant agencies to research and propose policies to support the purchase of health insurance cards for ethnic minorities.
At the same time, it is required to strictly comply with regulations on prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic, ensuring the protection and care of people's health in Vietnam. For example:
- Promote propaganda and information on the safe and effective use of drugs to treat COVID-19 patients, especially those with contraindications;
- Strengthen the management of drug prices, fight speculation, price increases, corruption, and negativity.
- Coordinate with the World Health Organization to devise solutions in the prevention and control of epidemics.
- Continue to research and guide vaccination for children under 5 years old, adjust the vaccine supply plan in the last 6 months of 2022, and prepare a vaccination plan in 2023.
