Rights and Responsibilities of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance promulgates Decision 1617/QD-BTC attached with the Regulation on statements and provision of information to the press of the Ministry of Finance.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Finance (including the Minister of Finance and the Deputy Minister assigned by the Minister with the responsibility of speaking) has the following rights and responsibilities:

- To represent the Ministry of Finance or its affiliated agencies and units in speaking and providing information to the press;- To request relevant departments, individuals within the agency, or units to provide information, compile information to speak, and supply periodic or ad-hoc information to the press;- To refuse to speak and provide information to the press in cases specified in Clause 2, Article 38 of the Press Law;- To have the responsibility for speaking and providing regular, ad-hoc, and extraordinary information and being accountable for the content of the speech and information provided to the press.
