Reward amount for Commemorative Medals under the management authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Vietnam from February 15, 2025

On December 8, 2024, the Minister of Home Affairs of Vietnam issued Circular 12/2024/TT-BNV stipulating the awarding of commemorative medals in sectors and fields under the management authority of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

According to Circular 12/2024/TT-BNV, commemorative medals are a form of commendation by the Minister of Home Affairs of Vietnam to acknowledge, motivate individuals with contributions and dedication to the construction and development of the Ministry and the Interior sector, including the following types:

- Commemorative Medal “For the Career of State Organization Management”;

- Commemorative Medal “For the Career of Emulation and Commendation”;

- Commemorative Medal “For the Career of State Management of Beliefs and Religions”;

- Commemorative Medal “For the Career of Archives and Records Management”.

Recipients of the aforementioned commemorative medals will receive a Certificate, Frame, Commemorative Medal, Medal Box, and a monetary reward of 0.4 times the statutory pay rate.

For Vietnamese individuals residing abroad; foreign individuals; individuals providing assistance or support in finance or in-kind assets for the development of the Ministry of Home Affairs or in fields under the management of the Ministry of Home Affairs who are awarded commemorative medals will receive a Certificate, Frame, Commemorative Medal, Medal Box along with a commemorative gift of equivalent value of 0.4 times the statutory pay rate.

Note: Entities not yet considered for and those that cannot be awarded commemorative medals under the management of the Ministry include:

- Entities not yet considered for commemorative medals:

+ Individuals currently under disciplinary review or involved in criminal cases without conclusions from competent state authorities.

+ Individuals under investigation, inspection, examination for signs of violation or having complaints, grievances, corruption, and negative issues being clarified according to the provisions in Clause 4, Article 4 of Decree 98/2023/ND-CP.

- Entities not eligible for commemorative medals: Individuals subject to disciplinary dismissal, subject to criminal prosecution, expelled from the Communist Party.
